Latest 2022 issue of Munchner Philharmoniker's own lable features Sibelius's Fifth Symphony (recorded in 1988) and Stravinsky's "The Firebird" (suite 1919) conducted by Celibidache .

Brucknerfest Linz 2022 includes many interesting concerts, like Christian Thielemann conducting Bruckner's Fifth ...or Bruckner Orchester Linz performing Bruckner's Ninth.

The saddest day in my life was yesterday, 11.7, when my dear father departed from this world. I pray peace for his soul. Let Bruckner's music comfort us all who are in grief.

Bruckner's 8th Symphony at the Mikkeli Cathedral ? Last year Mikkeli Music Festival had to cancel it's concerts, but now we, if epidemic allowing, have a second chance to hear Bruckner in Mikkeli, as Valery Gergiev with Mariinsky Orchestra will perform Bruckner's 8th on 5 July.

Munchner Philharmonikers Bruckner Cycle with Valery Gergiev has been available for some months now... and I received mine today. This box includes Bruckner's Symphonies 1-9 on dvd/blueray and are all recorded in Sankt Florian between 2017-2019. Many blissful hours with Bruckner to spend !

Wishing all music lovers and friends of Anton Bruckner and Sergiu Celibidache peaceful Christmas time and a Happy New Year 2021 full of wonderful music !
Let's hope that vaccines would give some relief to this epidemic and we could soon go back to our "normal" daily lives (like going to concerts), again.

Valery Gergiev with his Mariinsky Orchestra was supposed to perform Bruckner's 9th Symphony (and possibly Te Deum) at the Mikkeli Music Festival on July, but due to corona epidemic concerts have been either cancelled or postponed. New schedules can be found later from www.mikkelinmusiikkijuhlat.fi .
Let's pray good health for all of us and that we are soon able to enjoy live music again. Meanwhile we can enjoy Bruckner recordings of Celibidache , hear it's message of hope, and be totally comforted and satisfied in spite of this strange and serious situation.
2019:
Mezzo tv sent today (Dec. 1st) over four hours of Bruckner's Symphonies recorded at St.Florian during the Brucknerfest in 2018. How beautifully ended the 9th Symphony camera showing the "grave" of Bruckner at the last heartbreaking moments of the Adagio.

What an amazing experience it was to see all those places connected to Bruckner, to hear wonderful Munchner Philharmoniker play at St. Florian and meet many friendly people around the world. An experience I will never forget !
